The Only American at a BBQ?

Friday night I went to a BBQ at Nicolas' friend's apartment right outside Paris.  The only thing was this was not your typical American BBQ. It was fondu that we grilled ourselves and then poured over a bunch of potatoes and meats that ranged from ham to bacon and more ham.  It was delicious to say the least.  It was interesting being the only American there and it was nice to meet some new people.  For the most part I understood everything and got along with everybody. It was a pretty solid first night in Paris.
